"THANK YOU FOR LOOKING ME IN THE EYE AND TELLING ME I'M WORTH IT"
- Survivor served by Calyan nonprofit partner
WHO IS TRAFFICK911 and what do they do?
Simply put, Traffick911 is the first responder for child sex trafficking in North Texas. Just like firefighters show up to fires, Traffick911 shows up when a trafficked child is recovered.
Traffick911 has identified and/or assisted thousands of survivors! Their sole purpose is to free youth from sex trafficking by building trust-based relationships.
Traffick911's Voice & Choice Advocate Program
When a first responder encounters a sex trafficking victim in need of emergency services, they can call Traffick911 for 24-hour crisis response. A team member from Traffick911 will arrive and provide immediate aid to the survivor and start working on a case management plan to help them get back on their feet.
But that's not all. Once the survivor is stabilized, they will be paired up with a seasoned advocate (kind of like a mentor) who will be there for them every step of the way. This person will provide emotional support, help the survivor navigate the complex legal system, and connect them with all the resources they need to heal and rebuild their life.
And get this - Traffick911 doesn't work alone. They collaborate closely with regional multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that each victim gets the individualized support they need. It's a true team effort, and we're honored to support them in their mission to end trafficking and help survivors.
Jacob founded Calyan in 2017 with a strong desire to make a difference in the fight against human trafficking. He knew that the issue was complex and widespread, and he wanted to find a way to contribute meaningfully.
As he researched different organizations to support, Jacob was looking for more than just a good cause. He wanted to partner with a nonprofit that had a strategic approach and a team of dedicated individuals who shared his passion for helping survivors of trafficking.
One day, Jacob attended a Traffick911 volunteer training and was blown away by the organization's commitment and effectiveness. He was impressed by the professionalism of the staff and volunteers, and their deep understanding of the complex issues surrounding trafficking.
It was at that moment that Jacob knew he had found the right partner for Calyan. He was excited to support Traffick911's mission and work alongside them to combat trafficking and support survivors.
Today, Calyan is proud to partner with Traffick911 and support their vital work in the fight against human trafficking. We are committed to working together to make a difference and help end this horrific crime once and for all.
We're so pumped that you want to learn more about Traffick911! They are the best!

DeliverFund creates solutions and proprietary technology to bring an end to human trafficking by going after the root of the evil - the traffickers. With the support of our donors, we develop advanced software to track human traffickers, advise and train our law enforcement partners, and assist trafficking victims in escaping the cycle of exploitation.
Calyan's grant provides partial funding for a DeliverFund Intelligence Analyst that will be embedded with a Dallas-Fort Worth law enforcement agency. This project will reduce human labor and sex trafficking in the 13-county metro area of Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Parker, Somervell, Rockwall, Tarrant, and Wise Counties.
This project replicates a successful pilot project with the Houston Police Department, now in its third year. For North Texas, DeliverFund will equip, train, and advise law enforcement to identify and arrest human traffickers so their victims can be rescued and the traffickers jailed. DeliverFund will provide reliable, verifiable, and actionable intelligence on human trafficking to law enforcement. This includes city and county police, Homeland Security, DFW and DART police, public school and university police, and other sworn legal personnel. Our work will decrease the time and local resources required to identify, arrest, and prosecute human traffickers and rescue their victims.
Allies Against Slavery builds data platforms and partnerships to accelerate solutions to human trafficking. Until now, human trafficking has been an invisible problem — but it doesn’t have to be.
Funding from Calyan will support enhancements to Alllies Against Slavery's screening and data software, Lighthouse. This will allow AAS to get Lighthouse into the hands of more field professionals to identify more victims of trafficking, improve decision-making, and help prevent exploitation before it starts.
Together, they are building a future where every community has the data they need to make victims visible and prevent exploitation.
The rise of the Internet has led to an explosion of illegal images and videos of sexual crime being uploaded and shared worldwide. The Justice Defense Fund (JDF) is dedicated to empowering survivors of online sex trafficking, child sexual abuse material (“child p*rnography”), and criminal image-based sexual abuse to pursue justice through strategic litigation and advocacy support. We also advocate for the adoption of policies to prevent the online distribution of sexual crime.
The Calyan grant provides the financial backing for trauma-informed therapy, wrap-around advocacy, and strategic litigation support for dozens of plaintiffs currently involved in lawsuits. Together, we can help make the Internet a safer place for generations to come.
A21 is a global non-profit who's mission is to abolish slavery everywhere. They offer various programs globally that work together to fill critical gaps in countries and communities that are at high risk for trafficking through their 3 strategies:
- Reach the Vulnerable. Reach is about equipping people with the information that has the power to prevent exploitation from happening in the first place. It’s reducing vulnerability and empowering people everywhere to look for signs of human trafficking in their communities—so they can report suspected trafficking to law enforcement for investigation and intervention.
- Recover the Victim. Recovery is about fierce intervention. Whether it’s assisting a child off the street into safety, supporting police officers in identifying victims, training frontline professionals, or coordinating calls through our 24/7 hotlines—we partner with local, regional, and national law enforcement in the prosecution of traffickers to prevent abuse from happening to others.
- Restore the Survivor. Restore is about the possibility of a changed story. We work face-to-face with each person in our care based on their individualized needs—providing them with access to housing, medical treatment, counseling, education, employment, and repatriation to help them step into a life of independence.
I purchased the Fir & Clove candle at Whole Foods and liked it so much I ordered two more from Calyan Wax directly. I love the scent and the candles burn perfectly. I love their Mission of Hope as well- happy to do business with them!
The Lemon and Sage is my favorite scent, from my favorite candle company. It’s clean and bright and leaves me feeling somehow energized and calm. I love that these candles are considerately non toxic, and it’s an honor to be a part of this company’s mission through my purchases.
While this scent is my most favorite, I have liked all the others I've purchased over the past few years. No matter the scent, these burn so clean and evenly. They make great gifts cause really, who doesn't love a candle?
