3 Years In: Tired & More Motivated Than Ever

Starting Calyan was not a rational decision. I look back on it and find myself grateful for my naivety. If I had known what the next 3 years were going to entail, I am not sure I would have dove into this endeavor head first. 

I sit here, 3 years in, thankful and kinda tired. I have experienced so much. So much growth, so much worry, so much disappointment, so much excitement. Nevertheless, I find myself more confident than ever in God's goodness and faithfulness. He has been so patient with me. He has walked with me in the highs and lows. He has cared for me, given me strength when I am at the end of my rope. He has shown up in mighty ways in Calyan. 

I, along with the whole Calyan team, get to serve Him in this unique endeavor to bring justice to those entrapped in human trafficking using a simple household good--candles. 

Sometimes, I think we over complicate life and what we should do with it. I am reminded of what God wants with me in Micah 6:8:

"He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God"

May Calyan be known for these things. May we humbly serve Him and others. 

Calyan is growing! We are making more candles than ever and shipping them all over America. It is amazing to see so many united against the cause of ending human trafficking.
